Title: An In-Depth Picture of Photogrammetry
Abstract: Join us for an in-depth exploration of photogrammetry, the science of measuring and extracting data from photographs. In this talk, we'll delve into the nuances of photogrammetry and discuss how it compares to other remote sensing technologies like Lidar. We'll explore the pros and cons of using drones, manned aircraft, and satellites for photogrammetry and contextualize resolution and accuracy.
Bio: Jamin Yeager is a second-generation Aerial Photographer operating as Aerial Oklahoma based in Oklahoma City.
Expertise in Geographic Information Systems, including proficiency in tools such as Global Mapper, ArcGIS, Google Earth, and Klau Geomatics PPK. Skilled in photogrammetry, orthophoto and mosaics production, and proficient in various photogrammetry software such as Agisoft PhotoScan/Metashape, Pix4D, and 4DMapper, Experience in manned and drone data capture, application of dGPS corrections, image interpretation and archiving, quality assurance/quality control, 3D reality capture, and 3D visualization and rendering.
Possessing FAA License as a Pilot (ASEL) and Part 107 sUAS operator, experienced in operating a manned mapping platform based on Cessna 177 Single Engine Piston paired with PhaseOne iXM-RS150F Aerial System.
Proven expertise in historical aerial imagery analysis and research, with experience in providing expert testimony in civil cases. Successfully served as an expert witness in multiple cases case, providing in-depth historical overhead photographic aerial research, computer-generated maps, and extensive exhibits. Prepared expert report, followed by expert deposition opinion testimony, and trial testimony.
