Title: “Advances in Surface and Fiber Microseismic Processing: Implications for Frac Description”
Abstract: Reliable description of focal mechanisms and depth from surface microseismic data, and new techniques in fiber optic DAS processing, including focal mechanism prediction, show some surprising results with respect to characterization of fracture extents, both in height and lateral extent. Integration with fiber optic strain data confirms the microseismic results.
